Best described as a mix of Hardcore and _meta_l, D.O.M. (Destruction of Mankind) was the brainchild of Dom Trombetta. Cutting his teeth in the New York hardcore scene, D.O.M.’s most notable _meta_l influences are Pantera, Damage Plan and _meta_llica as well as the hardcore influences of Biohazard, Sick of it All, Life of Agony and Vision of Disorder, and current bands such as Lamb of God , Hatebreed and many “underground” influences. Feeling the frustration of finding musicians actually able to live up to his expectations, Dom decided to play all 5 instruments on “Necktie for a Noose” himself. His individual influences are as follows: for Drums, Vinnie Paul Abbott, Lars Ulrich and Buddy Rich. For Guitar, there is only one… Dimebag Darrell Abbott. For Bass it is a mix of Rex Brown and Jason Newstead. Vocal influences come from the bands previously listed. D.O.M is a direct product of these individual influences. Playing drums since age 5, a lifetime of drum experience can be heard on “Necktie for a Noose” . Dom describes his guitar playing as "Dime self taught”, looking to his influences to learn the other instruments. The son of a former opera singer, Dom always sang although only seriously for the past 4 years. In 2004 D.O.M set out to do what many would not attempt, to write, play and record an entire album by himself. Produced by Dom & Bill Donnelly, “D.O.M. Necktie for a Noose” was Mixed and mastered at Laughing Dog Studios NYC , and is available now. D.O.M is the real deal………
